Tax Advice and Tax Laws
Careful and timely planning delivers the best tax outcome! Before making a significant financial decision, consult us to understand the effect that decision will have on your tax obligation. We can help you identify options to mitigate that obligation.
In addition, our tax professionals help clients navigate changing tax laws. We continually monitor changes in the tax code and recent court decisions to remain current. Then, we inform clients of changes that have the potential to affect their financial outlook. As we prepare federal, state, and local tax returns, we look for financial opportunities our clients can use to their advantage, whether an individual, small business entity, or not-for-profit. After all, helping clients achieve their financial goals is our priority.
TriStar CPAs Tax Preparation Process
How do you begin tax preparation? Reach out to us at TriStar CPAs for premiere tax services. If you’re a new client, we will provide a generic tax organizer to help you gather the required information for a complete tax return. For returning clients, we provide tax organizers with a list of their particular documents and reportable activities. These are customized for each client.
Submit the organizer with your tax documents; either upload digital copies or deliver paper photocopies to our business drop box. Of course, digital is more efficient, but we love our paper clients, too! Either way, our admin assistant will walk you through all your options. Once your documents are received, the TriStar CPA working on your return will contact you.
How do you complete your tax filing? After some back-and-forth conversations between the client and CPA, the client receives a draft tax return for the client to review. Client returns are electronically filed with the IRS after clients pay the fee for the preparation and sign Form 8879 to authorize the electronic filing of the tax return with the IRS. Then your tax filing is done! (Until next season when we reconnect, chat, and find out what’s up.)
